Our Objectives

End the War in Sudan

From the outset, Somoud has taken action to stop the violence by directly engaging both warring parties and urging an immediate ceasefire. We also work with regional and international partners to isolate warlords, advocate for accountability, and expose the catastrophic consequences of continued conflict—including a breakdown in law and order and a worsening humanitarian crisis.

Facilitating Humanitarian Aid

Our humanitarian team is actively collaborating with international aid agencies to provide life-saving assistance to millions of displaced Sudanese. We are calling for the opening of safe corridors to famine-prone areas such as Darfur, Blue Nile, and South Kordofan, and advocating for secure and sustained humanitarian access.

Establish the Rule of Law

Somoud’s legal sector is focused on confronting abuses against civil forces and defending the principles of the December Revolution. We work to reinforce the rule of law by submitting legal memos to international bodies, documenting political misuse of the judiciary, and pushing for accountability and reform.

Empower Women and Youth

The women and youth sectors of our coalition have led initiatives in cities like Nairobi and Kampala to increase their participation in political processes. We are committed to building their capacity to contribute to peace efforts, protect their rights, and support a democratic transition grounded in inclusion and justice.

Combat Hate Speech and Promote Social Cohesion

Somoud is fighting the spread of hate speech and ethnic division through advocacy, education, and dialogue. A key initiative was the “Peaceful Coexistence” conference, where we launched the Call for Peace and Unity and issued a joint declaration promoting national solidarity and reconciliation.

Conclusion

Somoud stands firm in its commitment to achieving a peaceful, democratic, and just Sudan. We call on all Sudanese citizens, regional partners, and the international community to join us in supporting the struggle for an end to war, justice for victims, and the realization of the ideals of the December Revolution.
